Lumiture is a portmanteau of Lumen (Latin for light or illumination) and Furniture. After more than two decades in the theatre world, I decided to leave its fleeting nature behind and turn my long-time passion - designing and building furniture and lighting - into my profession. As a child, I built my first pieces together with my father, later expanding into light installations and lamp creations. From this interdisciplinary blend emerge my luminous, one-of-a-kind light-furniture pieces. Whether for private spaces, hospitality venues, theatres, mounted on walls or floating in the room, my aim is to give light a greater presence within the space: function follows form pro lux.
