The park is home to one of Vienna's most famous landmarks, the Riesenrad: a 64.75m tall ferris wheel. Wurstelprater, typically referred to as Prater, is the second oldest amusement park in the world and can be found in Vienna’s second district. It was opened to the public in 1766, making it just a little over 250 years old! Before it was opened to the public, Prater was used as the imperial hunting grounds for centuries.
